Fiona said, “Since 2011, this Library has been run by volunteers and they have done a splendid job what a library should do. It lends all types of books for each generation.
“Additionally the library also provides photocopying, computers, tourist information, DVD hire, jigsaw loans and activities in the room of large community as well as selling the second hand books at the negotiating price of three for a pound.” Jonathan Bacon, the Chairperson of Bembridge Community Library said that the Library had been happy to hear that BSC had decided to help the Library this year.
“When we hear that the sailing club has raised a magnificent sum, we felt very glad. This is the best time their support has reached to us. Till now we have been operating under the Community Action Isle of Wight, but now we are applying to become a charity in our own. We also want to take over a full repairing lease for the building of the Library from the Isle of Wight Council.Tags: Bembridge, jigsaw, Jonathan Bacon
